Auchinbaird Windmill

Auchinbaird Windmill - Clackmannan & Stirlingshire
Auchinbaird Windmill, Sauchie, was originally built in the early 18th Century to harness wind power to drive a water pump which in turn drained a nearby coal pit. When the pit closed the windmill was converted to a doocot and has been recently restored Auchinbaird Windmill as an example of an early 18th century rubble-built circular tower with domed roof and castellated parapet
